(KNSI) — A 72-year-old St. Cloud man is facing ten felony counts of possessing child sexual abuse material involving victims under the age of 14.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Stearns County District Court, Microsoft flagged suspected CSAM accessed through a Bing search in September 2023 and reported it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force. The IP address traced back to Gregory Paul Erickson’s home in north St. Cloud. When a St. Cloud Police investigator interviewed him in January 2025, he admitted to possessing the materials and said he had been downloading child pornography since around 2000. A subsequent search warrant turned up more than 200 images and videos. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children later identified 124 victims across the files. The complaint also notes that Erickson told investigators he had previously “acted on his urges” and had physical contact with minors.
The charges are enhanced because he is a registered predatory offender with a prior conviction.
Erickson’s next court date is June 16th.
