Splash Pads Running in St. Cloud and Sauk Rapids as Temps Hit the 80s

(KNSI) – With summer temperatures expected to stay in the 80s this week and many area schools wrapping up their final days, families across the St. Cloud area have a few options to cool off.

The City of St. Cloud turned on its splash pads last week, and they will remain open through roughly mid-September, depending on the weather. The six splash pads run daily from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. and can be found at Centennial Park at 1725 Centennial Drive, Haws Park at 805 13th Street South, Lake George/Eastman Park at 1101 7th Street South, Riverside Park at 1725 Kilian Boulevard, 10/10 Park at 1114 9th Avenue SE, and Westwood Park at 720 Driftwood Drive.

A couple of scheduling notes for St. Cloud locations. The Lake George Splash Pad will close at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesdays when Summertime by George is held. The Westwood Park Splash Pad opens at 3:00 P.M. on days when school is in session.

In Sauk Rapids, the outdoor splash pad at Autumn Ridge Park, 2270 Parkview Lane NE, is open for the 2026 season and operates from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. seven days a week during the summer months. The park also offers a large playground, a sheltered picnic area, and restrooms.

The interactive water feature at The Clearing, 95 River Avenue North, is also open for the season and runs from 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. as part of the Lions/Southside Park improvements. City officials note the feature may occasionally be out of service due to mechanical issues.

The Sauk Rapids wading pool at Bob Cross Park, located at the end of 1st Street South, remains closed. When it opens, the wading pool will operate daily from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., though hours can change due to lifeguard availability, water chemistry, or weather. Ball fields, pickleball courts, and a playground are all located nearby.
