(KNSI) – St. Joseph will take a closer look at its finances at its upcoming city council meeting.

The council will review how last year’s taxpayer dollars were spent across several areas at its Monday meeting, including the balances, expenditures and revenue from the city’s General Fund and its Water, Sanitary Sewer and Stormwater funds. The discussion will also cover whether those funds have grown or declined in value.

Council members will address how the city is monitoring its infrastructure needs and how much federal funding is required to maintain long-term fiscal stability. The city’s pursuit of grant funding for various projects will also be on the agenda, including the second phase of development for Northland Business Center.

The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18 at St. Joseph City Hall.
