(KNSI) – Former Minnesota State Senator Justin Eichorn (R-Grand Rapids) is expected to plead guilty to federal charges after getting caught in an underage sex sting last March.

Eichorn was hit with one count of enticement of a minor in U.S. District Court after court documents say he responded several times to an online ad offering prostitution services between March 11th and March 17th, 2025. During the messages, he asked for a photo of her “with a lot less clothes” and asked “What’s a guy gotta do to get with the hottest girl online tonight.” Over the course of messaging, the undercover officer repeatedly represented as being 17 years old. Even so, Eichorn still asked how much it would cost for various acts. He asked for a half-hour visit and a meeting was set up in Bloomington. Police were waiting for him when he got there.

Eichorn entered a not guilty plea and his attorney sought to have the case dismissed, but that motion was denied. He is expected to change his plea when he appears in court Thursday.
