(KNSI) – The Pregnancy Resource Center’s annual Let Your Life Shine…Walk for Life is set for Saturday at the Sartell Community Center, with organizers hoping to raise $130,000 to help expand its mission.

The walk is in its 36th year and is one of PRC’s largest annual fundraisers. Pregnancy Resource Center’s Elizabeth Siekawitch told KNSI’s Dan “The Ox” Ochsner the organization is hoping for a strong turnout this year so it can add a new location. “We’re really looking to expand our services to Little Falls, and we’re looking at putting a location there, and we’ve invited the Little Falls community to come out as well.”

The center currently operates two locations, one at 305 5th Avenue South in downtown St. Cloud and another at 141 Waite Avenue North in Waite Park.

Siekawitch ran through what the center provides people seeking its services. “Everything is free. We provide pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, and we provide STD testing for men and women and resources for families as well.”

The resource center also recently received three new 3D and 4D ultrasound machines through a grant, with one going to each existing location and the third earmarked for the planned Little Falls site.

Saturday’s event will include a band, a worship song before the walk, lanterns to be lit along the route, face painting for children, door prizes, and lunch from Chick-fil-A.

Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m., and the walk steps off at 10:00 a.m. The route will loop around Lake Francis and through the nearby business area before returning to the community center. Pre-registration is available by clicking here. Same-day registration is $15.

KNSI’s “The Ox” will emcee the event.
