(KNSI) – After a seven-year hiatus, the Tenvoorde Ford Minnesota Mustang Run is roaring back to central Minnesota next month.
The 14th running of the event is set for Saturday, May 16th, with organizers expecting more than 125 Mustangs to fire up their engines together before cruising the back roads of the St. Cloud area. The last Mustang Run was held in May of 2018.
This year’s event carries new meaning. All proceeds will benefit Together with E.R.I.C., a foundation created in memory of Eric Tenvoorde, a fifth-generation member of the Tenvoorde family who managed the dealership’s Choice Auto used vehicle center. Eric died by suicide in October of 2018 following a struggle with opioid addiction. The foundation funds local efforts focused on mental health awareness, addiction support, and suicide prevention.
Tenvoorde Ford in St. Cloud holds the distinction of being the world’s oldest family-owned Ford franchise, dating back to 1903.
Registered participants will receive a 2026 collector edition Mustang Run license plate. A $10 raffle is also being held, with a Mustang as the prize. Winners need not be present.
Registration and route details are available at mnmustangrun.com.
