(KNSI) – A one-block stretch in downtown St. Cloud will be closed for eight days while crews conduct utility work in the area.

According to the St. Cloud Engineer’s Office, 6th Avenue North between 1st Street North and West St. Germain Street is closed through Tuesday, April 7th. No detour has been established.

Officials say the work is necessary to address underground utilities, though specific details about the project were not immediately released.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the area.
