(KNSI) – The community has a chance to see the inside of an operating room at CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital without having to be a patient.
On April 16th, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., the regional medical provider is opening the doors of its surgical center to anyone who has ever wondered what really happens on the other side. The annual open house returns this spring as a free, self-guided public tour through what organizers call the largest and most advanced surgical center in central Minnesota, handling thousands of procedures each year across a wide range of specialties.
From cutting-edge equipment to the team of specialists who use it, attendees get an up-close look at the world of modern surgical care. No scrubs required. They will learn about the people behind surgical care and the career paths available in the field, and explore the latest techniques, including minimally invasive and robotics-assisted procedures.
The open house is designed for everyone, including families with curious kids, students eyeing a future in healthcare, and community members who simply want to better understand the care available to them locally. Those who want to check it out can get there through the surgery entrance from the South Ramp parking area and take the elevator to Floor A.
