(KNSI) — Thousands are expected to gather outside the Great River Regional Library in downtown St. Cloud Saturday for the No Kings 3.0 Rally, the latest in a series of demonstrations organized by Americans for Democracy.

The rally runs from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and organizers expect up to 10,000 people, which they say would surpass previous event turnouts.

Americans for Democracy has been active in the St. Cloud area for over a year. The group helped organize an anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement rally on January 11th, four days after Renee Good was shot to death by a federal agent in Minneapolis. That event drew more than 3,000 people, and the group has staged previous No Kings events locally as well.

St. Cloud’s event is one of dozens of synchronized No Kings marches happening across Minnesota Saturday, and one of thousands scheduled nationwide. KNSI News has reached out to the St. Cloud Police Department regarding any potential local road closures.

The marquee event is in St. Paul, with police there anticipating up to 150,000 attendees at the State Capitol.
