(KNSI) — Republican delegates in House Districts 13A and 13B have endorsed Tanja Goering and Dawn Loberg as their candidates for the Minnesota House of Representatives in the 2026 election cycle.

Both candidates centered their messages on government accountability, concerns about fraud and waste, the rising cost of living, and the economic pressures facing families and small businesses in central Minnesota.

In a press release, Goering, the endorsed candidate in District 13A, said voters are frustrated with the direction of state government. “People across central Minnesota are tired of watching government grow while accountability disappears. Families are working hard, small businesses are doing everything they can to keep up, and taxpayers deserve to know their money is being respected. I’m running to bring practical leadership to St. Paul, fight fraud and waste, and stand up for the values and priorities of the people who call this district home.”

Loberg said the endorsement reflects what voters are looking for from their representation in St. Paul. “This endorsement is about more than one campaign – it is about giving the strongest voice to the people of our district. Minnesotans want safe communities, affordable living, and a state government that works for them instead of against them. I am grateful for the support of the delegates, and I am ready to work hard, earn every vote, and bring an accountable approach to the Legislature.”

House District 13A will have an open seat after Speaker of the House Lisa Demuth announced a campaign for governor. Others vying for the spot include William Ben Bugbee, Tami Stanger, and Arlis Sayler. District 13B also opens up following Rep. Tim O’Driscoll’s decision not to seek re-election.
