(KNSI) – City officials have declared a snow emergency in St. Cloud ahead of a significant winter storm expected to bring between 10 and 18 inches of snow to the area.
The snow emergency takes effect at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, March 15th, 2026, and will remain in place for 72 hours unless weather conditions improve and roads are plowed to their full width ahead of schedule. Updates will be issued if the declaration is rescinded early.
During a snow emergency, any vehicle found violating parking regulations will be ticketed and towed in order to allow city crews to clear the roads. Residents are urged to move their vehicles off affected streets before the deadline to avoid fines and towing fees.
The city has three main types of parking restrictions:
Odd/Even Parking: In designated areas, residents cannot park on the street between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. If your house number ends in an even number, you cannot park during that time on even-numbered calendar days. If your address ends in an odd number, you cannot park on odd-numbered days.
Seasonal Parking Ban: In certain areas, no parking is allowed on either side of the street between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Downtown/Central Business District: No parking on streets between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Residents should monitor local forecasts and city communications for the latest information as the storm approaches.
