(KNSI) — The St. Cloud First Steps Baby Expo is coming up on Saturday, March 7th, in a brand new location.

The St. Cloud Area Family YMCA is hosting the event from 8:00 a.m. to noon, which will showcase products and services for new, expectant, and young families.

Leighton Media Events Director Cole Erie says the partnership is exciting and perfect. “I think now more than ever, we want to make sure we’re exploring all community partners, and the YMCA is the perfect community partner with us for this event and our entire family series of events. So we’re looking at continuing to find ways to partner with the YMCA as we did with the Candy Cane and Cocoa Party in December.”

They’ll have plenty of space for it, and it’s going to be needed. Erie explains, “We have a book reading area. We’re going to have blocks and cars and coloring stations. There’s also going to be privacy areas for mothers if they need to step out quickly for anything that they might need to do. We’ll have changing tables, diapers available, wipes, all of those things.”

The event also features the Diaper Derby, Diaper Pull, educational presentations, photo booth, craving stations, bounce houses, door prizes, and a balloon twister, plus exhibitors showcasing the latest and greatest products for expectant parents, growing families, infants, and toddlers. They include Bradshaw & Bryant, CentraCare, the Minnesota Department of Health, the Minnesota Milk Bank for Babies, childcare facilities, Reach Up Head Start, local doctors and chiropractors, photographers and more.

Tickets are $10 for adults, and kids get in free. The money from ticket sales goes to support the YMCA’s membership fund. Guests will receive a swag bag that includes a glass baby bottle, kids’ toothpaste, and a free coffee from Scooter’s Coffee.
