UPDATE: 11th Avenue South Closure Extended Through Friday for Emergency Water Repairs

(KNSI) – Drivers who use 11th Avenue South should continue to plan ahead as the road will remain closed to through traffic through Friday.

The closure, ordered by the City Engineer’s Office, affects the stretch of 11th Avenue South between 19th Street South and 22nd Street South. The stretch, originally expected to be closed for just one day, has been extended due to the ongoing emergency water repair.

City crews continue to work to complete the necessary repairs as quickly as possible to minimize disruption to the traveling public.

Residents and commuters who regularly use this stretch of road are encouraged to continue seeking alternate routes and allow for additional travel time until repairs are complete.
