(KNSI) – A Rockville man was killed on Monday when two vehicles collided at a rural Stearns County intersection.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol preliminary accident report, around 3:11 p.m. Manford James Iverslie was heading west on County Road 146 in his 2022 Ford F-150. The 84-year-old came to the intersection with Highway 15 in Maine Prairie Township, where he collided with a 2019 Ford Expedition heading north. He died at the scene.

Airbags deployed in both vehicles. A 42-year-old woman from Saint Augusta was taken to CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A 7-year-old girl, also from St. Augusta, was not hurt.

All involved were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Watkins Fire, South Haven Fire, Kimball Fire, and Mayo EMS all responded to the scene.
