(KNSI) – The Great River Children’s Museum is once again opening its doors after hours for a night of grown-up fun, bringing back its popular Sip n’ Play event with a Winter Olympic twist.

On Friday, February 13th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., adults 21 and over can trade in their daily routines for an evening of playful competition at Sip n’ Play: Play-lympics, the museum’s second annual adults-only event.

Building on the success of last September’s inaugural Sip n’ Play, which featured climber races and the museum’s first-ever rubber duck races, this year’s winter-themed edition promises new challenges and familiar favorites. Guests can try their hand at archery and curling, glide across the floor in sock skating competitions, and cheer on their favorite fowl in the returning Rubber Ducky Race through the Great Big River exhibit.

The $30 ticket includes full access to all Play-lympics activities and museum exhibits, one complimentary drink, plus free non-alcoholic beverages and light refreshments throughout the evening. Additional drinks will be available for purchase.

A lighthearted medal ceremony will cap off the night’s festivities, giving winners a chance to claim their glory—and bragging rights.
Proceeds from the event support the museum’s Path to Play initiative, which helps remove financial barriers to museum access through subsidized field trips, camps, and day passes.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be found by clicking here.
