(KNSI) – The St. Cloud City Council has given a thumbs up to resurface ten miles of road in 2026.

The work will cost around $2.9 million, with city taxes covering 73% and adjacent property owners forking out 27%. Homeowners will get estimates in the mail if they haven’t already. Most of the work will be in the St. John Cantius-Edelbrock, Railroad-McKinley Park and the South Side Neighborhoods.

A homeowner with 100 feet of frontage would be assessed around $658.

The projects will go out for bid in the spring, with work to be completed over the year. Final bills for homeowners should come in February or March of 2027, with payments due in May of 2028.

The work was approved by unanimous vote at Monday night’s city council meeting.
