(KNSI) — St. Cloud-area organizations received only one grant from a $17.3 million award round by the Department of Employment and Economic Development, which spans three separate programs.
The Stearns-Benton Employment and Training Council, also known as Career Solutions, was selected for a $350,000 Bridge to Career Pathways grant. It provides funding to individuals seeking to upskill, either improve existing abilities or learn new ones, that allow them to get credentialed for in-demand industries like manufacturing.
DEED Commissioner Matt Varilek says, “Helping Minnesotans on their journey to find fulfilling, family-sustaining careers is a core tenet of the work we do at DEED, and one we take great pride in.”
