(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Police Department has identified a 25-year-old man as the victim in a fatal domestic-related stabbing early Monday morning.
The police say Quinton McKay Hughes was attacked at an apartment complex on the 1200 block of Washington Memorial Drive. First responders were called around 4:00. Life-saving measures were taken at the scene, but the Sauk Rapids man was pronounced dead.
The suspect, a 23-year-old woman, was taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Stearns County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder. No one else was hurt.
Officials say the man and woman were in a relationship, and there is no threat to the public.
KNSI News has a policy of not identifying suspects until they are formally charged. The incident remains under investigation.
