(KNSI) – Stearns County is reaching out to caregivers across the region to help shape the future of support services through a new community survey initiative.

The county is inviting caregivers to participate in a brief, 10-minute survey designed to identify the essential resources and supports needed by those caring for family members, friends, or neighbors. The feedback will be used to come up with recommendations for establishing free Community Resource Centers throughout Stearns County.

These proposed centers would serve as dedicated spaces offering assistance and connections for caregivers who often face unique challenges balancing care for a loved one and taking care of themselves.

The survey aims to get insights on what services would be most valuable to caregivers, whether it’s respite care options, educational programming or peer support networks.

For caregivers interested in providing more detailed feedback, in-person focus groups are also being organized. Those wishing to learn more about the project or participate in a focus group can contact Sarah Laulunen at Sarah.Laulunen@consulting-perks.com.

Caregivers interested in taking the survey can access it through the county’s website or by clicking here.
