Paynesville Man Seriously Injured After Being Run Over by Tractor in Farm Accident

(KNSI) – A Paynesville man suffered serious injuries Sunday evening in a farm accident after he was run over by a tractor.

Jerrod Quade was showing a neighbor how to start a Case International 4230 tractor around 6:00 in the 29800 block of Dolphin Drive, just northwest of Paynesville.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, the 30-year-old had positioned the tractor inside a pole shed on the property and was standing in front of the back right tire when the tractor started. It was still in gear and lurched forward, knocking Quade to the ground and running over him.

Quade was initially taken by ambulance to Paynesville Hospital before being airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center. His injuries were described as serious but non-life-threatening.
