UPDATE: Sartell Switches Course, Closes Compost Site Early Due to Weather

(KNSI) – On second thought, Sartell has decided to close the compost site early this year.

Originally, it was going to continue operations until Sunday, but Engagement Director Nikki Sweeter told KNSI News early Wednesday that staff had met regarding the amount of snow dumped on the region by the winter storm, and it was decided the site should be shut down.

Those counting on having the ability to drop off yard waste and brush won’t be left completely out in the cold, though. Sartell will open the compost site on Monday, December 1st, for one day only. When it closes at 6:00 p.m. that day that’s it until spring.
