(KNSI) – The Sartell Chamber of Commerce is collecting Christmas toys and other gift items this holiday season to benefit the United Way of Central Minnesota.
The Santa’s Helpers drive has drop sites located at city hall, the Sartell Community Center, and St. Cloud Financial Credit Union. Donations will be accepted until Tuesday, December 2nd, at 4:00 p.m. Some of the items organizers are looking for include toys, art supplies, books, dolls, paint, trucks, Legos, infant toys, and cash. Pretty much anything that would delight a resident of Whoville is acceptable.
Toys collected will be given to United for Christmas, a program run by the United Way of Central Minnesota that allows kids to shop in the basement at Scheels after it has been transformed into a winter wonderland. Cash donations go to the Sartell-St. Stephen School District. Checks should have “Sartell Chamber” written on the memo line.
All Santa’s Helpers who donate will have a shot at cool prizes, such as a stay at the Great Wolf Lodge and waterpark, and other family-friendly experiences.
