(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Area School District Board of Education is set to accept a bid for exterior work on the new Multipurpose Athletic Facility near Apollo High School at a special meeting on Monday.

The board says it sent a request for proposal to 10 contractors, with only one submitting an official bid. Officials say there were several reasons the other nine chose not to participate.

The board is expected to select Legacy Building Solutions, LLC to complete the work for $3,532,204. A second bid package for the facility’s interior will be solicited in the future.

The project is being funded through bonds backed by a special property tax approved by voters in November 2024. The school board’s special meeting is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. at the District Administration Office.
