(KNSI) – As part of a study on Highway 10 between St. Cloud and Little Falls, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is holding three open house sessions next month to collect public input.

The research is part of a plan to improve safety and access needs along the 30-mile corridor. The goal is to assess current and future pavement conditions, maintenance needs, land development, and other uses. According to MnDOT, the corridor’s problems include left-turn challenges and traffic signals that cause backups in Royalton and St. Cloud, leading to safety and mobility issues.

The events will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Royalton City Hall, and on Thursday, December 4th, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Watab Town Hall and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Copper Kitchen in St. Cloud. The restaurant will not be serving food during the event.

Right now, residents can leave their comments on an online map marking where they experience or have seen the biggest traffic issues and concerns. Click here to see the interactive map.
