(KNSI) – St. Joseph will be in the spotlight when Season 2, Episode 4 of My Town airs later this month.
The YouTube show will premiere Sunday, November 23rd at 6:30 PM, and features the story of entrepreneurial couple, Mateo and Erin Mackbee, who left the big-city lifestyle behind to open three eateries in St. Joseph. They include Krewe Restaurant, Flour & Flower Bakery, and Joetown Burgers. According to the show, they choose community and quality of life over the urban grind.
Each episode runs 22 to 25 minutes and typically explores a community through three distinct stories. The St. Joseph episode was filmed over the summer following extensive research and collaboration with local leaders.
The show was created by former Twin Cities television and radio anchor Cory Hepola. A Perham native, he developed the series after recognizing a prevailing narrative that people only end up in small towns when something has gone wrong. His show counters that perception by highlighting individuals who actively choose rural living.
