Where Veterans Can Get Free Food, Deals on Veterans Day 2025

(KNSI) — Today is Veterans Day, and veterans, active duty military personnel, can eat and sip their way through the day with various freebies and deals around town. This is by no means a complete list. These deals may be subject to verification, at participating locations only, and valid ID may be required.

Applebee’s – Veterans and active duty military can enjoy a free meal from a select menu. Valid military ID or proof of service is required.

Arby’s – Veterans and active duty military can get a free Classic Roast Beef Sandwich. In store only. One sandwich per veteran. Valid military ID or proof of service is required.

Beef O’Brady’s (Monticello) – Veterans and active duty military can get a free burger and fries. Tax, tip and alcohol not included.

Buffalo Wild Wings – Veterans and active duty military can get a free order of ten boneless wings and fries. Walk in and dine in at participating locations. Valid ID required.

Casey’s General Store – Veterans and active duty military members and first responders in uniform can get a free cup of coffee or fountain drink. Free car washes are also being offered where applicable. Proof of service is required.

Chipotle – Veterans and active duty military can get a buy-one-get-one-free entrée from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Valid military ID required. Customers who order online or use the app can also round up their order to the next dollar to donate to the USO Round Up for Real Change through November 16th.

Firehouse Subs – Veterans and active duty military can buy one sub of any size and get a second one free. In store only. Valid military ID or proof of service is required.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers – Veterans and active duty military can receive a meal card for a free combo meal, with no purchase needed. The meal card is valid through December 31st, 2025. Participating locations only.

Granite City Food & Brewery – Veterans and active duty military can get a free lunch from a special menu along with a free non-alcoholic beverage from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Offer is good for dine-in, to-go and online ordering (use code VETERANS25). Offer not good for delivery.

Great Clips – Veterans and active duty military can get a free haircut to keep that high and tight short and neat. For those who don’t need a haircut now, they can come in and get a free haircut card for later. Participating locations only. Valid military ID or proof of service is required.

IHOP – For veterans and active duty military, the famous pancake chain is offering up a free Red, White, and Blueberry Combo with pancakes, two eggs, hash browns, and two strips of bacon or pork sausage from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Dine-in only. Only at participating locations. Valid military ID or proof of service is required.

Qdoba – Free chips and dip for veterans and active duty military at participating restaurants. Dine-in only. Valid military ID or proof of service is required.

Panera Bread – Veterans and active duty military personnel can get a free pastry or bakery item and coffee. Participating locations only. Valid military ID or proof of service is required.

Red Lobster – Veterans and active duty military can get a free Shrimp & Chips entrée, which comes with fries and coleslaw. Guests must show a valid military ID or proof of service to redeem.

Scooter’s Coffee – Veterans and active duty military get one free medium drink, including items from the limited-time holiday menu. Mobile ordering not included. Valid military ID or proof of service is required.

Starbucks – Veterans, active duty military and their spouses receive a free tall hot or iced coffee. Cold brew not included. Participating locations only.

Take 5 Oil Change – Veterans and active duty military get 25% off oil changes year-round. Valid military ID or proof of service is required.
