(KNSI) – Police are pleading with the public to help solve a murder case that has gone unsolved since 2016.
Authorities say Terry Brisk was hunting on November 7th in Belle Prairie Township on land his family owned when he was shot with his own rifle. In a release, Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen says based on evidence at the scene, investigators determined that the suspect was in close proximity to the 41-year-old Brisk, and it is believed the two would have interacted prior to the homicide.
In the statement, Sheriff Larsen said, “Nine years have passed since this tragic incident, but time has not lessened our determination to find justice. Our investigators, along with our state and federal partners, continue to actively pursue every lead and explore new forensic opportunities. We owe it to Terry, his family, and his friends to keep pushing forward.”
Deputies have been looking for a blue van or minivan, calling it a vehicle of interest in the investigation.
Officials continue to review the evidence, and they hope someone will come forward with information to help them solve the case and bring closure to Terry’s family. A $30,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the crime.
