Metro Bus Offering Free Rides for Voters on Election Day and Military Members on Veterans Day

(KNSI) – Metro Bus is providing free rides to two different groups in early November.

All voters will get a complimentary shuttle to the polling station on Election Day, November 4th. This is an off-year, but there are contests to fill vacant seats on the Stearns County Board of Commissioners in District 4 and the District 742 Board of Education.

Veterans and active military can use the service for free on Veterans Day, November 11th. The discount applies to all types of rides provided by Metro Bus. Those using the Northstar Link or Fixed Route options must show proper ID when boarding. Dial-A-Ride customers need to mention their military status when they call into dispatch.

Metro Bus continues to have several veterans and active duty military on its staff, which makes offering the promotion extra meaningful.
