(KNSI) – St. Cloud Parktober Fest is back in 2025, but at a different spot.
The event has a couple of new sponsors, and those in charge are predicting it will be bigger and better than ever, which prompted them to move it from Riverside Park to northeast St. Cloud at Wilson Park. The event is on Friday, October 17th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and is free.
Cassie Woischke, program coordinator with the St. Cloud Park and Recreation Department, runs through some of the new activities. “I’ve booked a magician. That’ll be at 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 p.m. And then we’re bringing back bubble shows. This guy was at Granite City Days, and the kids just loved him. So, that’ll be 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. And we’re also doing crazy hair.”
There will be plenty of returning favorites. Seventeen organizations will have trick-or-treat stations set up, including the always-popular St. Cloud Police Department caution tape maze.
Woischke explains the reason behind the change in scenery. “We’ve kind of outgrown Riverside, which is a good problem to have, but Wilson is also just much flatter and has less trees, so better sight lines and everything. It just makes it a little bit better for this type of event.”
Parktober Fest has existed under several different names over the years. The one constant is its place over MEA break, when kids from both public and private schools in the area are off for a long weekend.
