SCPD Searching For Aggravated Robbery Suspect

(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Police Department is searching for a suspect after an attempted aggravated robbery on the city’s east side Sunday evening.

A press release says the incident happened just before 7:00 at a hotel in the 700 block of Highway 10 South. A 39-year-old man from Elmore was walking through the parking lot to return to his room when he was approached from behind by a man with a gun. The victim lunged at the suspect and was able to kick him multiple times, forcing him to flee without getting anything of value. Police responded to the area with a K9 officer but were unable to find the suspect.

He is described as a black male in his early 20s, about 5’7″ tall and 160 pounds with a thin build, short hair and a closely cropped moustache. He was wearing a black coat, hoodie, and black shoes with a white undershirt.
