(KNSI) – Access to Lincoln Avenue near Target in east St. Cloud will be cut off at Highway 23 beginning on Wednesday.

Officials say for those looking to access businesses between 23 and East St. Germain, they’ll have to come in from the north, which includes a winding detour into an alley on the west side of the street. Drivers should know that even on approved routes through the work zone, the road has been ripped up. In many places, it is uneven or rough and bumpy.

The work is weather-dependent. The hope is it will be wrapped up within two days. Rain is possible Wednesday night and for most of the day on Thursday. The Lincoln Avenue project is expected to be wrapped up by the end of the month.
