(KNSI) – Catholic Community Schools marked a major milestone in its fundraising campaign to retire construction debt, upgrade Cathedral High School’s HVAC system, and invest in its elementary schools.

The Deeply Rooted, Growing Stronger capital campaign reached $4 million, two-thirds of its $6 million goal. This is enough to cover the outstanding debt on the North Building, which was constructed from August 2019 to fall 2020.

The campaign gained momentum in May when the Coborn Family Foundation announced a $500,000 grant that 150 donors matched during a 20-day challenge. It surged again in recent weeks thanks to a significant gift from the Cross Works Foundation.

Catholic Community Schools serves over 1,400 students in preschool through 12th grade across seven schools. These include Cathedral High and Middle Schools, All Saints Academy, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and St. Katharine Drexel, all in St. Cloud; St. Francis Xavier in Sartell; and St. Joseph Catholic School in St. Joseph.
