(KNSI) – Manea’s Meats in Sauk Rapids will host its first annual Fall Family Meat Up this Saturday in the store’s parking lot downtown.
Running from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will be plenty of activities for all ages. Marketing and Sales Manager Sofia Radzak teases there will be plenty of highlights outside of the great eats. “We will have llamas in our parking lot, along with rabbits from the Benton County 4-H Club, celebrating their National FFA Week. So, we’re going to have that as a little fun thing for petting, [and] enjoying outside.”
There are also plans for a pumpkin weight-guessing contest, with the winner receiving a special prize. Radzak discusses the scavenger hunt. “We will have a few pigs placed around the store, and if you’re able to find each of the pigs, you’ll go up to our register, let them know that you found them all. And then you’ll receive a cute little mini pig. It’s a little miniature glow-in-the-dark pig to go with Manea’s Meats, of course.”
Tucked inside the cornstalks, hay bales, and 16-foot inflatable pumpkin are multiple stands set up with samples of two bratwurst varieties, chili cheese and salsa and cheddar. The fall flavors tie in well with football game days.
The event will be taking place just down the street from the Sauk Rapids Fire Department’s open house. Radzak believes pairing the events together makes for a perfect day for families.
