(KNSI) – The deadline for the second property tax installment payments is next week.
Stearns County is reminding residents to cut a check by Wednesday, October 15th. Payments can be made online, either using an eCheck or credit card. Transactions using plastic come with a 2.5% service fee.
Staff will accept payments in person at either county treasurer’s office. Locations include the administration building in Courthouse Square and the service center in Waite Park.
For those mailing in their payments, include the payment stub or Property Identification Number with the check. Envelopes should be made out to:

As long as the envelopes are postmarked by October 15th, late fees are avoided.
Staff say for 2026, it might make sense to enroll in ACH payment plans, where money is automatically deducted from a checking or savings account and pulled out either quarterly or across 10 monthly payments. Residents have until December 15th to set that up.
