Sartell K9 Kimber Celebrates Two Years With Department

(KNSI) – Therapy K9 Kimber is celebrating two years with the Sartell Police Department.

Kimber has been busy since getting her badge, being deployed 267 times, or nearly three times per week.

As a therapy animal, Kimber is used in a variety of situations. She is there for police and firefighters after a particularly difficult call, helps comfort children going through trauma, and is happy to be a companion for anyone in the community, eagerly exchanging an ear for a good pet or belly scratch.

Sartell also lends Kimber’s services to neighboring departments. Kimber was brought on board in 2023 thanks to a grant from nonprofit, Soldiers 6.
