(KNSI) – A woman is dead, and the suspect is jailed after a stabbing in St. Cloud on Tuesday night.
According to police, they were called to the 1000 block of East St. Germain Street for a 911 hangup just before 11:30. They arrived to find the victim had been stabbed several times. Life-saving efforts were performed at the scene before she was rushed to CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The 26-year-old suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Benton County jail, where he is awaiting formal charges.
Investigators say the two knew each other and there is no threat to the public.
