Cold Patching Scheduled for Rest of Week on Busy Area Road

(KNSI) – One of the area’s premier business corridors will get a final touch up to prepare it for winter weather in the months ahead.

The Stearns County Highway Department is warning drivers that for the next three days crews will be inching along County Road 75/Division Street between Highway 15 and 15th Avenue North in Waite Park. The stretch includes the Crossroads Center mall and Parkwood Theatre, among a sea of restaurants, insurance agencies, banks, and retailers.

The work is scheduled for both directions and involves laying down cold patch to smooth out any rough spots to help the road hold up in the face of ice damage and the effect of corrosive salt put down after snowstorms.

Drivers should expect the occasional delays while in the construction zone.
