(KNSI) – St. Cloud State University has been ranked the number one nursing school in Minnesota.

The rankings, done by registerednursing.org, were done by analyzing the past three years of pass rates for the NCLEX-RN exam, which is a computerized adaptive test required to become a licensed registered nurse, measuring a candidate’s ability to safely practice nursing. It is used by all U.S. state boards of nursing and is required for licensure.

The SCSU nursing students had a nearly 96% pass rate over the past three years, which the school says reflects the nursing program’s ability to prepare students to enter the workforce successfully.

SCSU received the top rating out of 40 schools analyzed in Minnesota.
