(KNSI) – Students of St. Cloud Christian School are playing a vital role in fundraising to remodel its new building in Waite Park.

Bake sales, service projects, classroom challenges, and other initiatives are part of a campaign meant to bring in $500,000 as part of the overall effort to revitalize the former Crafts Direct building into a 500 student preschool through 12th grade facility. All money raised by the students will be matched by an anonymous donor, meaning the total impact could rise to $1 million.

The signature event that reaches into every classroom in the school is the Carnival and 5K scheduled for October 25 at St. Cloud Christian’s current site in northeast St. Cloud near Spalt Park. The move will enable high school students to pursue career and technical education, enhance athletic facilities to host select varsity sports, and expand science lab space.

Head of School Mackenzie Hansen says, “This is more than just a building project-it’s a story of students stepping forward, families uniting, and generosity multiplying.”
