(KNSI) – St. Cloud State University and the Bell Museum are teaming up again to cohost the Statewide Star Party.
The fun will be spread across two nights, September 18th and 19th. The events start at 6:00 each night and will wrap at about 9:00. SCSU Assistant Professor Rachel Humphrey talks about what to expect. “This year’s theme is aurorae. So, we’re going to be doing lots of stuff with the northern lights. Once again, we’ll be doing some hands-on activities, arts and crafts, science demonstrations, and things like that.”
Humphrey says registration is required. “There is no cost to attend. The only reason why we ask people to make reservations is just to hold their spot because our planetarium holds 55 people at a time.”
Some of the other activities planned include a peek at the night sky, and a movie with fun available for all ages. Email is the best way to register. Send an RSVP to planetarium@stcloudstate.edu.
