(KNSI) – A significant road construction project is underway on County Road 157 in Albany, potentially causing traffic disruptions through early November.
The project will affect the stretch of County Road 157 between just west of 14th Street and Trunk Highway 238. Construction crews will be working on extensive infrastructure improvements, including storm sewer installation, sanitary sewer work, water main upgrades, curb and gutter replacement, new sidewalk construction, road paving, and landscaping.
Due to the scope of the work, Interstate I-94 will serve as the official detour route during construction. Drivers should plan for possible delays and allow extra travel time when navigating the area during the construction period.
The two-month construction timeline is weather-dependent, meaning completion could extend beyond the projected early November finish date if conditions are unfavorable.
