(KNSI) – The cause of a house fire in St. Cloud on Friday morning is under investigation.

Fire crews were called to the 6400 block of Laurel Road at 6:21 a.m. When they arrived, firefighters found flames coming from the garage. A search of the home showed no one was inside.

A critical incident report shows the fire remained contained to the garage area with only minor extension into the adjacent kitchen.

No one was hurt.

Fire Chief Matthew Love noted in the report the department’s rapid response, saying the city’s newest fire truck, Ladder 2, which was placed into service on Wednesday, arrived quickly at the scene and helped prevent the garage fire from consuming the entire home.
