(KNSI) – An Osakis man briefly lost consciousness after he crashed his motorcycle in central Stearns County on Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened about four miles west of Melrose. Just after 5:30, the dispatch center received word of an accident on County Road 65 near a bridge that arches over the Lake Wobegon Trail. The 23-year-old man was driving east when he ran off the road and collided with a guardrail.

The man was thrown from his bike and passed out. He was not wearing a helmet. The Life Link III helicopter rushed the man to CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was helped at the scene by Melrose Police, Minnesota State Patrol, Melrose Fire and Rescue and Melrose Area Ambulance.
