(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Area School District 742 is taking a personal approach to welcoming its newest students and families with a district-wide door-knocking initiative scheduled for Tuesday.
Leadership team members will visit homes throughout the district to personally greet kindergarten students and families new to the district, marking what officials describe as the first step on a child’s journey to high school graduation and a bright future.
Each student will receive a gift bag filled with back-to-school supplies and other goodies, along with a warm welcome from district representatives. The initiative aims to create an immediate connection between families and the school community before the academic year begins.
