(KNSI) – A man was airlifted to CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital on Friday morning after falling approximately 12 feet from a steel roof while cleaning gutters.
The medical emergency was reported in Eden Lake Township just before 11:00 a.m. According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Daniel Fredin was using a garden hose to clean gutters while standing on the steel roof when he slipped. The 35-year-old fell onto a concrete walkway.
Witnesses say the Montgomery man landed on his feet before tumbling backward onto his hip and shoulder. He ultimately hit the back of his head on the concrete.
Fredin was taken by helicopter from the scene, and an update on his condition wasn’t released. The incident remains under investigation.
