(KNSI) – The vibrant streets of downtown St. Cloud will become an outdoor art gallery as local artists channel their inner Jackson Pollock and Claude Monet.
On Friday, August 15th, the St. Cloud Summer Art Crawl returns with its largest lineup yet, featuring over 100 art vendors and more than a dozen live performers from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
This season’s crawl will showcase chalk artist Tara Aiken who will create stunning murals on 7th Avenue while live painter Isabella Domm captures the energy of the event on canvas nearby. The musical backdrop will be provided by one-man band Yuya Mix performing in front of Beauty and the Beans, and folk singer-songwriter Cathie English entertaining crowds outside Jules’ Bistro.
For those seeking interactive experiences, Sisters Loom will offer crocheting demonstrations, while the Great River Children’s Museum presents Emotion in Motion, a splatter art make-and-take project for young artists from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the museum’s grand entrance.
The event will also feature the graceful movements of Radiant Moon Belly Dance troupe, woodworking demonstrations by Barntiques Custom, and spray paint artistry by Bryon Newson.
The Art Crawl is meant to celebrate central Minnesota artists while driving foot traffic to locally-owned shops, restaurants, and businesses in the historic downtown district.
