(KNSI) – The Stearns County Road 137 bridge over Highway 15 in Waite Park will reopen to traffic after three months of construction.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced that starting Friday afternoon, cars can now travel across the span, marking the completion of a $1 million renovation project that began in May.
The extensive work included several upgrades to make the stretch of road safer and improve the road surface.
During the three-month construction period, Stearns County Road 137 was closed to through traffic, requiring drivers to use alternate routes. The Minnesota Department of Transportation expressed appreciation for the public’s patience during the temporary inconvenience.
