Pantown Brewing Serves Up Briny Fun at Picklefest This Saturday

(KNSI) – Pickle enthusiasts and craft beer lovers alike will converge on Pantown Brewing Company this Saturday, August 9th, for the brewery’s highly anticipated Picklefest event.

The pickle-themed celebration kicks off at noon and promises a full day of unique flavors, local vendors, and entertaining competitions. Pantown Brewing Company has crafted a lineup of pickle-inspired beverages for the occasion. The flagship Dill Pickle Cream Ale returns as “The OG,” described as crisp, creamy, and brimming with dill flavor. For those seeking more heat, the Spicy Dill Pickle Cream Ale offers the same creamy base with an added jalapeño kick.

Non-beer options include a Pickle Lemonade Slushie and a non-alcoholic Pickle Lemonade for all-ages enjoyment. The brewery will also feature “The Caesar,” their brined-up twist on the classic Bloody Mary beer, perfect for brunch enthusiasts.

Several local businesses will showcase their pickle-themed offerings throughout the day. Jupiter Moon Ice Cream returns with their legendary pickle ice cream, while Jules’ Bistro will serve dill pickle soup and dill pickle scones for adventurous food lovers.

Splendid Stardust will offer their popular crocheted emotional support pickles, and the SCSU Community Garden will provide locally-made pickles and fresh produce.

The festival features several competitions throughout the afternoon. A Pickle Eating Contest begins at 2:00 PM, with registration closing at 1:30 PM. The Pickle Stein Holding Contest follows at 4:00 PM (registration until 3:30 PM), and the day concludes with “Kick the Pickle” at 5:00 PM (registration until 4:30 PM).

Attendees can also participate in Pickle Pong and try their luck at guessing the number of pickles in a jar for additional prizes and entertainment.
