(KNSI) – In Cold Spring, even where there’s no fire, there’s looming smoke.
Renovations are about to heat up at the government complex on Red River Avenue. City administrative staff and police will still share the building, even with the fire department at their new hall on Main Street. The transition will require a complete facelift of the building, and that process begins on Wednesday.
Cold Spring City Council is holding a special meeting to interview potential construction manager firms for the project at 5:00 p.m. In addition to the freed-up fire department space, the library branch near the front entrance will be moving out in the next couple of years.
The group will have its next scheduled meeting on the 13th, one week away.
