(KNSI) – Temporary lane closures on Veterans Drive in St. Cloud are going to end up being more permanent than initially anticipated.
Utility work between 27th and 29th Avenues is now expected to drag on until Saturday, about 48 hours longer than first estimated. The City Engineer’s Office is warning drivers that multiple contractors are being brought in to try and wrap up the repairs as soon as possible, making the work zone extremely busy.
Veterans Drive will be down to one lane in each direction. Vehicles will have to crawl through the two-block stretch on the inner lanes. The work first started on Tuesday.
